Pumpkins

We went to this place called Carver Farms to get our pumpkins this year. They have hay rides, corn maze, you can pick your own popcorn and of course pumpkins. We went on what I think was the coldest day of the whole month of October. We still had a good time though.

Emily's Birthday

This year Emily had a small birthday party. She had a couple of friends come from school and of course cousins Kendra, Madeline and Alison came over. She wanted to have a princess party and Aunt Melissa bought a great princess castle cake. We painted nails, played pin the crown on the princess, make candy necklaces, opened presents and of course we had cake. Oh and we had pizza for dinner.
Emily got a ton of Littlest Pet shop stuff and clothes. It was a great day. I can't believe that she is 6 years old. Is in Kindergarten and growning so fast. Where does the time go? Seems like not that long ago she was just born.

Haileys bus ride home

This bus thing is weird.
When I called to get the bus schedule they didn't tell me what bus number she would take to school just what bus number to take home. All they said was, the bus comes at 8:18 on the corner of Singing Hills and Autumn Crest. So we get her to the corner and bus 39 comes. She gets on and goes to school. Well I knew that she needed to take bus 11 home. However, when i go to get her, bus 39 comes to the corner and kids get off but there is no Hailey. I start to follow the bus, calling the school at the same time. School says call bus office we don't have radios to call the drivers to see if she forgot to get off or even if she got on. Then I see another bus that has 11 on it turning down our street. So, I flip a u turn and follow the bus. The bus stops in front of our new house. I am thinkg good, she will be on this bus and get off her. But nope, no one gets off and the bus goes again. So I start to follow the bus. Meanwhile I am still trying to get ahold of the bus office and no one is answering the phone there. Danny is driving to Haileys school to look for her there. Finally 4 streets later, the bus stops long enough for me to get out so I can go talk to the driver and I see Hailey getting off the bus.
I thought she would have been on the bus that dropped them off at the corner since that is where she get on at but since going home from today on Emily will be with her, the bus drops them both off at our house which is why they go on a different bus home that takes them right to our house. She didn't get off at the house because she didn't see me waiting for her because I was behind the bus.
So today, we are going to try this again. She got on bus 39 this morning and will be on bus 11 right to our house after school. Oh I can't wait until we move on September 25th. I won't have to drive 10 minutes to get them to school and then pick them back up. I will only have to take Emily to school and it's not that far.

School

Well today is the first day of school for Hailey and Emily. They are so excited.

Hailey gets to ride the school bus to and from school and I will have to take Emily to the Kindergarten school and then she rides the bus home. The bus comes to the corner of our new house so they only have to walk past 3 houses to get there. Thats nice for me. We got Hailey to the bus stop, she got on and I drove to the school to show her where her class was and to get her paid up on lunch. She met her teacher, found her desk and was ready for school to start and me to go.

Emily just goes to school today for an hour and a half. I get to stay with her the whole time. Basically its just a get to know your teacher day. Tomorrow will be a real day. I don't like having her in the afternoon class. I wish we could have gotten the morning. But I guess that happens when you move in the summer and register late. You don't get what you want.

Stuff

Pictures of our new house

We finally got our own house even though we can't move into it until October 1. Less then a month away. We found out last Saturday that we got it so I went and got Hailey registered for school. Found out that she will be taking the bus and the bus stop is 2 houses down from where we will live. How nice is that. I will have to take Emily to the kindergarten school but then she will come home on the bus with Hailey.

I also got the job transger to Walgreens in Post Falls. Our new house is right down the street from it so I will be super close to work again. :) The only thing about this Walgreens is the manager does not like to have part time workers so I am working 30-35 hours a week at nights and the weekends. Nights don't work out so well right now since I have to be there at 5 and Danny still is not home by then. I have been taking the girls to his Sisters who lives in Liberty Lake Wa about a 15 to 20 minute drive from me but oh well, i have to do it. I can't be late. The manager does not even like that I can't come in any earlier then 5 as it is. He would want me to be there at 4 or better yet 3:30. No can do. I hope to find someone in our new neighborhood who would want to have a super part time babysitting job watching the girls from 4:55 to 5:30 when Danny gets home. How much would I pay for that?

On Sunday, Abby was running and fell and had to have 4 stitches put in her forehead. She gets to have them taken out on Friday. Emily and Hailey are so excited to start school and so am I. Its been a long summer for them not having any friends. I hope they make some fast so they can play with someone other then each other. We have heard that there are some girls in the new neighborhood.

Back Home

Well I am back home. Trip to Moab was good. The girls and I had a good time. Despite Haileys whining and making us almost go home on Friday. Had Grandma and Grandpa not got home from the Arches park when they did, we probably would have left. Grandma put an end to us leaving. House was nice that we stayed in. The girls and I all shared a room. It was hot in Moab but we survived. On Friday we went to Arches National Park and did a hike and then in the afternoon we went to the Moab swim center for a couple of hours of swimming. Saturday when most of the big people were rafting, Grandma and I took my girls, Kanyon, Mylee, Brendan, Patrick and Gabe to the Moab Farmers Market where they got their face painted and rode on a hay ride. I bought a strawberry cheesecake thing there. Looked so so good. To bad it wasn't. Went downtown Saturday night bought a shirt, bumper sticker and a hat for dad. Sunday it was time to go home. Packed the car, cleaned up and then we all went to lunch before heading home. It was a nice getaway. I wish that Danny would have been able to go but oh well, he had to work. He will be there for next years for sure since we are in charge of it.

Going on a vacation

So I and the girls are leaving early tomorrow morning to go on our family vacation to Moab. I plan on leaving here about 4:30 or 5:00. From Post Falls Idaho to Roy Ut, it's about a 12 hour drive with the kids depending on how many time we have to stop. It's 666 miles. That is a long drive. We will get to Roy sometime early evening and depending on how i feel, go to Andrews baseball game. Thursday morning about 8:00 we are leaving for Moab. We will be in Moab till Sunday. Chris has been planning this trip since January. Everyone in the family will be there except for Danny. I think i counted 22 people. We come back to Roy on Sunday and then i work at Walgreens Monday Tuesday and Wednesday and then Kim and I will leave with the girls to come back early Thursday morning.

Ice cream

As you all know, I am big into coupons and getting a lot for little money. Well I use this site called pinching your pennies. (www.pinchingyourpennies.com) and on Wednesday, they posted a deal for the state of Utah and Idaho on Breyers ice cream at Albertsons. This week, Albertsons has Breyers on sale for 1.00 each the pint size. There are coupons for this product at www.coupons.com. The coupons is for 1.00 off any 2 breyer products. So, I printed 2 of these coupons, used both coupons along with the store double coupons and paid just 12 cents for 4 ice creams. But it gets better... Out spits a catalina coupon that you can save 4.00 on any Breyers ice cream when you buy 5. So remember they are on sale for 1.00 each. I bought 5 more, gave them the 4.00 of coupon and paid 1.30 for 5 ice creams. I washed, rinsed and repeated. All together I have 56 ice creams in my freezer. Luckily, the freezer is pretty empty since we had to eat or give away all the food that was in there when we moved.
Pretty good deal. This sale ends on Tuesday and I will be back for more before then and if they don't have any, I will get a rain check.

4th of July
This year for the 4th, we were in Idaho. Danny's sister Melissa lives in Liberty Lake Washington with her husband Kris and their girls Madeline who is 8 and Alison is 5. We went to their house for a BBQ and then we went and watched fireworks in the park.

Moving to Idaho
So Danny's Family moved from Southern California this year to Northern Idaho and Danny and I tossed the idea around the idea of moving for some time. We came to visit in May and Danny had an interview at the Waste Management in Spokane Valley Wa. His first interview was not to promising, well Danny called them again on Thursday and went back to talk to them. The manager said he would have a job to start on August 1.
We came home, informed my family who was not to happy about the news but life went on. I started packing the house slowly. We reserved the moving truck for the end of July, made plans to move to my Parents house for the month of July so we could save some money so that we would not have to stay with Dannys parents for more then a couple of months. Well, the middle of June, the new boss called and told Danny that he needed to be here on July 1st or he would not have a job anymore. So, I really started packing and cleaning. We had just over 2 weeks. Danny and Emily left for Idaho on June 29th. Hailey was still in school so Abby, Maggie and Hailey and I would stay at my parents until Thursday July 2nd then leave.
Danny likes the new job. Just not the drive. It's about a 25 - 30 minute drive. This past Monday I went to a Walgreens in Spokane and I will start working there August 8th. I got Emily all registered for school last week and Haileys school will open the middle of August. We have been going to school lunch here just like in Utah and the girls love that.
Next wednesday, i will drive back to Utah with the girls for our family vacation that Chris has been working on since January. We will be going to Moab over the 24th weekend. Danny was told that he could have the time off to go but we won't be able to afford for him to have 3 days off and also to fly him back home on Sunday. I am going to stay another few days in Utah, work 2 days at Walgreens and then Kim is going to come up with me to Idaho for 3 days.
